FOOTBALL FRENZY AT KLIA AND LCCT

Spirited by the most awaited football event globally, KL International Airport (KLIA) and LCCT-KLIA offers a myriad of exciting and engaging activities themed “Let’s All Football” to keep the football frenzy going to entertain visitors and passengers as they shop when visiting, taking off or touching down at the airports.

During the football season from 11th June until 11th July 2010, visitors and travellers, football fanatics or otherwise, are in for a treat when they are at KLIA and LCCT-KLIA as both terminals boost an exciting flavour of football mania. Decorated with all the essence, hype and power of football including the emblems of the various teams and large Samsung LCD displays, visitors and travellers will sure to be engulfed by the football passion.

The Kick-Off Zones located at the Stage Area, Level 5, Main Terminal Building; Sports Lounge, Satellite Building, KLIA as well as the Public Concourse, LCCT-KLIA promise to be the hive of activities showing live broadcast of all exciting matches as well as fun-filled games and activities for adults and children alike to fuel one’s competitive edge. To mark the start of an amazing season, visitors, travellers and the KLIA Community are invited to catch the opening of the football season at the Kick-Off Zone at Stage Area, Level 5, Main Terminal Building today at 10.00pm.

Visitors and travellers who shop and dine with a minimum of RM 50.00 and above can participate in the Kick-Off Zone Football Count Contest. Contestants with the correct number of balls stand a chance to win prizes, which include a Grand Prize of a Sony Bravia 40 inch LCD TV and a Sony DVD Home Theatre System. The First Prize winner will walk away with a Sony High Definition Handycam and the Second Prize winner will receive a Sony 8GB MP3 Walkman.

As part of the ongoing effort to turn KLIA into a lifestyle destination, Malaysia Airports is always looking into bringing international events as well as festive celebrations to live at the airports.
